FARMINGTON COUNTRY CLUBThe Henry Wilson Shootout
Established in 2015, the Henry Wilson Shootout is an annual season-long contest to become a top-10 money leader at Farmington Country Club. Money is tracked by all tournament winnings including men’s league and women’s league. Golf outings (fundraisers) are not included. All monies will be posted weekly to the Henry Wilson Leaderboard and at the end of the season the top 10 money winners will compete in a 9-hole Shootout (Oct 15th at 11:00 a.m.). If someone in the top 10 is not able to play in the Shootout the spot will be filled by going down to the next person on list until the spot is filled. The defending champion of the previous season receives an automatic spot in the Shootout.
There is no cost to enter the Shootout. It is a privilege and reward to have earned a spot in the competition. The Shootout will start on the 1st hole and the person with the highest score (handicaps will be used) on that hole will be eliminated. If there is a tie the players will participate in a chip off, pitch off or putt off. PGA Professional Julie Donlon will determine spots for ties on each hole. This process will continue through nine holes and the person that wins the 9th hole will be the 2017 Henry Wilson Shootout Champion. It is a fun format and we encourage people to come out and watch!
